Le dijo que Venezuela no colinda con las FARC sino con la delincuencia, que es un Estado dentro del Estado venezolano. Fustigó las compras de armamento por parte del Gobierno y le mandó hacer tareas al Presidente. Luis Ignacio Planas, secretario general nacional de COPEI Partido Popular, señaló este miércoles que el Presidente de la República, Hugo Chávez, vuelve a colocar a los venezolanos en una situación vergonzosa frente a la comunidad internacional. “El Presidente de la República se ha excedido en sus comentarios en lo que se refiere a la defensa de grupos irregulares, que secuestran, matan, violan y privan a seres humanos de su libertad”. Mencionó que el primer mandatario nacional hacía observaciones con respecto al papel del Estado y del gobierno colombiano frente al combate a la guerrilla. “Señalaba usted (Chávez) de forma grosera, que existía un Estado dentro del Estado colombiano ¿Usted no se ha dado cuenta Presidente, que la delincuencia es un Estado dentro del Estado venezolano? Que impone leyes, las aplicas, mata, violan y ¿su gobierno no puede contener el hampa que ha desbordad
